Goldman Sachs has warned that data center power demand will surge 165% by 2030. In a world where labor disappears and robots produce everything, the only truly scarce resources will be energy to move atoms and intelligence to process information. The dollar will keep losing value. Energy and intelligence will not.

But the Earth's power grid alone won't be enough. Musk has turned his eyes upward.

How to Survive the Brutal Transition

"My worry isn't the distant future. It's the next 3 to 7 years."
"Exactly. The transition will be very rough."
Why? Because the speed at which jobs disappear will be far faster than the speed at which governments can build new systems to replace them. What do you do during that brutal gap when the old economic model collapses but the new one hasn't settled yet?
Musk offers a surprising answer. Saving money for 10 or 20 years down the line is completely meaningless.
When the singularity hits, the fiat currency system itself could become obsolete. Every major asset will eventually be tokenized, making it accessible for investment or ownership. Energy companies building robots. Platforms monopolizing AI infrastructure. You can't just save your salary. You have to own a piece of what's producing the value.
And here's the key point Musk made about the future currency being the watt. This doesn't mean you need to buy massive stakes in giant corporations. Pay attention to tokenized infrastructure. You might not be able to buy a multi-billion dollar power plant, but you can own one-millionth of one, or one-thousandth of an AI chip cluster, and collect dividends from it. That is how you become a landlord in the digital age.

The most powerful means of production, in the end, is you.
Many people are terrified that AI will take their jobs. Here's the truth: AI will not replace you. A person who is highly proficient at using AI will replace you.
This tsunami could be a disaster, or it could be the greatest opportunity in human history. If Musk's vision is correct, we are about to become the wealthiest generation our species has ever seen. But before we get there, we have to endure the most brutal period of adaptation.
